You can achieve this by using the following code:

php

// Your associative array

$data = [

    '1' => ['id' => 1, 'value' => 'A'],

    '2' => ['id' => 2, 'value' => 'B'],

    '3' => ['id' => 1, 'value' => 'C'],

    '4' => ['id' => 2, 'value' => 'D'],

];



// Initialize an empty array to store the latest entries

$latestEntries = [];



// Loop through the data array

foreach ($data as $entry) {

    // Use the element ID as the key to store the latest entry

    $latestEntries[$entry['id']] = $entry;

}



// Now $latestEntries will contain the latest entry for each element ID

print_r($latestEntries);

This code will output:



Array

(

    [1] => Array

        (
