php - Only seeing Wordpress changes when logged in as Admin - All cache cleared

Message:

I've made some changes to my wordpress site that are only showing up when I'm logged in as an admin. I've cleared all caches (that I know of) and tried on different browsers with totally cleared caches and it only works with admin.

Possible that I'm not clearing a certain cache that I don't know about? Any tips?

My Answer:
It sounds like the changes you made may be related to user permissions or roles. When you are logged in as an admin, you have access to all parts of the site, including any changes you made. However, when you are logged in as a regular user, you may not have the same level of access to see those changes.

Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check your caching plugins: Make sure that you have cleared the cache in any caching plugins you are using, such as WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache. Sometimes these plugins can hold onto cached versions of pages even after you have cleared your browser cache.

2. Check your browser cache: Clear your browser cache and cookies again to make sure that you are seeing the most up-to-date version of the site.

3. Check your theme settings: Some themes have settings that control what content is visible to different user roles. Check your theme settings to see if there are any options related to user permissions.

4. Check your plugins: Some plugins may have settings that restrict access to certain content based on user roles. Disable any plugins that may be affecting the visibility of your changes and see if that resolves the issue.

5. Check your user roles: Make sure that the changes you made are visible to the user role you are testing with. You can check and adjust user roles in the WordPress dashboard under Users > All Users.

If none of these solutions work, it may be helpful to reach out to the theme or plugin developer for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific guidance on how to troubleshoot the issue.
